you a little bit about how it all
started…
We rarely like to
talk about it
but the reason I feel I need to tell
you is so you can get an idea of
where we began and where we come
from.
It
gives me goose bumps and even
brings tears to my eyes to think
about the obstacles we had to
overcome just to get to where we are
today.
Lupe
and I got together at a very young
age. I met her in high school and we
were both 16 years old when we
started going out.
Lupe and I just hit it off the day
we met. And I now know you meet
certain people in your life and
certain things happen to you for a
reason.
One
day…
After
we had been going out for about a
year, she called me and told me she
was pregnant and that we had a baby
on the way. (We had a baby coming at
age 17)
This day changed my life forever.
I remember asking myself how am I
going to provide for her and the
baby? I’m
going to be a dad now…
We both
ended up having to drop out of
high school, and get minimum
wage jobs, because we had to make
some money, to buy diapers, baby
food and get our own apartment.
I
remember when…
We
first moved in to our first
apartment. Our kitchen table was a
card board box because we didn’t
have any furniture and this place
was tiny only about 600 square feet.
We
pretty much had zero future
ahead of us.
We were the typical stereotype. Our
first car had a big hole on the
bottom that had rusted out. It was
an old Mustang I bought for $500.
We used
to joke around and call it the
“Flintstone Mobile” but it wasn’t
funny when we had to drive our new
daughter to doctors’ appointments
and the car wouldn’t warm up because
of the hole it had on the bottom and
it was freezing cold living in
Chicago with snow and below zero
degree weather.
We bounced from job to job
trying to make ends meet. I remember
working my ass off for a week
washing dishes (this must have been
the worst job in my life). The dish
carts just kept coming and coming
one right after another nonstop like
crazy. I could barely keep up.
I would
get out of work soaking wet, full of
food and extremely tired.
I got
my first paycheck as a dishwasher
and it was only for about $150.00 I
thought to myself, this is a joke
and decided to quit and look for
something else.
I kept
applying for new jobs; I went from
working in construction to
delivering pizza to installing cable
TV. Looking for a “safe and secure
job”
One
thing I remember though is…
No
matter how broke we were, I always
had a burning desire in me to be
successful and give a better life to
my family. I did not want my
daughter growing up in a bad
neighborhood.
I
always wanted to start my own
business and would always
fantasize about how great it
would be to have my own business and
make more money.
I will never forget this one night
when Lupe and I were lying in bed
together and I started telling her
how I kept having these thoughts in
my head to start a business.
This was a big deal because we
barely made enough money to pay our
bills. And when you have a daughter
at age 17 and you finally get a job
that gives you medical benefits with
a company that eventually you’ll get
a good salary with after being there
for a while, it’s not that easy to
quit and go after something that may
not work. I’m sure a lot of you have
probably felt this way when making
the decision of going out on your
own.
Even my
parents were worried because they
saw how much we struggled and
finally had got a “safe and secure”
job.
We were
worried about how we would pay our
bills, and risking our life’s
savings to go after this dream. I
told her how I had been thinking of
quitting my job and starting a
business. As I told her this she saw
it in my eyes and she knew that this
was an itch I needed to scratch.
She finally told me “no more talking
about it” and “just go for it.” She
even agreed to work overtime to
bring in extra money until the
business started making money.
I thank
God for putting her into my life and
encouraging me to go after my
dreams.
This was a big sacrifice
because it meant that she would not
get to spend time with me or our
daughter. The only time we would be
together is late at night right
before going to bed.
I must
admit I was scared to do this. It
was a big decision. The little voice
inside my head which I learned later
is called fear would say to me;
“What if things don’t work out?” …
“What if we lose all of our money?”…
“What if we can’t pay our bills?”…
You know what little voice I’m
talking about right?
It’s the little voice that always
pops out whenever you are going to
make a big decision. I’ve learned
that this little voice is FEAR … And
is what stops most of us from going
after our dreams.
I
decided to not listen to the little
voice and “Go for It!”
I
thought to myself what’s the worst
that can happen? If it doesn’t work
out, I’ll just try something else or
go get another job.
Man
little did I know how this
ONE Decision would completely
change our lives. If it wasn’t for
this one decision we made or for
Lupe encouraging me to “Go for it”
we would still be living paycheck to
paycheck and struggling to make ends
meet and be stuck working for this
company for the rest of our lives.

are making a decision think about
everyone and everything that you
will be affecting with the choice
you will make.
I
wasn’t expecting what was about to
happen…
We
started the business and started to
get traffic just like everyone else,
doing search engine optimization and
buying clicks from the search
engines. I remember working really
hard and getting websites built for
all our main keywords, building the
pages with the perfect keyword
densities, reverse engineering the
search engine algorithms, cross
linking sites to increase our page
rank, we were doing it all.
All of
this hard work just to get what I
consider now a little bit of
traffic.
Then
One Day…
Out of
the blue Google decides to “ban” our
websites and we lost all of our
traffic overnight!!
Can
you believe that?
Just picture it you and your family
are now dependent on this income
making money from search engine
traffic. They pulled the plug on us
just like that and it was not just
one website it was close to 100
websites we had built to target our
keywords. Do you have any idea how
much work it was to build 100
websites that were finally getting
some decent traffic? Seeing them do
this was like someone ripping out my
heart and feeding it to the dogs.
Why would you ever
let someone control your income like
that?
To them it was no biggie I don’t
think they even realize how much
this affected us.
We became so broke Lupe was breaking
our piggy banks to get money to pay
for our groceries. We had nothing to
fall back on we had spent years of
our life’s making this work. So in
desperation we had another important
decision to make I said to her with
the only money we have left we can
either pay our bills or go to this

No matter what, our little girl and

I get back and I do what you should
always do when getting back from a
seminar. I TAKE ACTION!
It was
GREAT!
After
trying to get traffic on credit with
many publishers, I finally figured
out a system to get them to agree to
send us traffic on credit.
I start getting
traffic on credit like crazy.
Using this formula we were able to
get our sales to

million dollars per month!
